Justin Trudeau’s future looks set to be decided in the coming weeks. It’s also worth taking a look at the astral configuration of his primary opponent, Pierre Poilievre.
Funnily enough, I asked Midjourney to create a portrait of the two opponents. Poilievre isn’t part of the engine’s image bank, whereas the famous Trudeau is rendered decently. As for ChatGPT, it flatly refuses to draw either of them. This is not so much due to the algorithms’ inability as to the filters added to them to stay in the boring waters of political correctness.
We have a birth time for Trudeau, none for Poilievre. I’ll stick to observing "present energies". In Trudeau’s chart, the weather is intense!
Neptune’s transit of natal Mars is what catches the eye {{symbol:transit text= "ne cj ma" }}. Like all other astrological symbols, Neptune’s symbolism is vast, but one thing stands out: dissolution. Whatever Neptune touches, it slowly and relentlessly disintegrates, for better or worse. Mars represents the will to act, dynamism. Isn’t it said that the Trudeau government lacks direction and doesn’t know what to do? In this chart, Mars opposed Pluto at birth. The pugilistic Trudeau seems to be losing the power of his fists...
Two other planets orbit the politician’s chart. As with Trump, with whom he shares the ascendant, Uranus will reach the MC in 2025. This is generally a sign of a significant change in professional direction, or even destabilization. Pluto will also be in conjunction with Venus between 2025 and 2026. In addition, Saturn will oppose Mercury in January 2025.
What can we conclude? Neptune conjunct Mars calls for transcendence, a change of perspective, and a reformulation of actions. This planet often lifts the curtain on some scandal. This may not be the case for Trudeau, but the man with multicoloured socks may be due to energize and inspire in a new way. He’ll need to tap into different ways of doing things if he hopes to rally, inspire and thus continue to influence. With Uranus and Pluto colouring 2025 and 2026, we can expect this to happen elsewhere.
Neptune will not leave the region of Mars until early 2026. 2025 will be the year of all beginnings and recasts. In 2026, we’ll undoubtedly see a new man.
Pierre Poilievre, for his part, seems to be moved, "favoured," by Jupiter from early July 2024 to 2025, with frequent transits (direct or by retrograde) over his Sun and then over Mercury. Jupiter is the planet par excellence of expansion and success. Conjunctions or other angular contacts with the Sun often denote professional advances. Pluto will also oppose progressing Mercury. Gaining power?
