The element Air is associated with the mind, thinking, and communication. People who are pure Air are able or willing to communicate, exchange, know, and learn new languages, to deepen a question in the middle of a meal to satisfy their intellectual thirst.
The world of ideas, in general, is what drives them, whether it is for the simple pleasure of exchanging or to want to embody their ideas in the spheres of society where they gravitate.
This mental power means these people tend to believe their thoughts more than their emotions. They may appear cold or unemotional to others. They are usually inclined to believe in the logic of things and are less disturbed by more emotional aspects. Thus, there is a reluctance to express their emotions. This does not mean that these people do not have emotions!
The god Mercury was the messenger of the gods, knew everything, did not judge, and distributed knowledge as he perceived it. An Air person does not take offence; he seeks to understand and to provide a reason, even if the conclusions may seem shocking.
Aristotle said that air was a mixture of the humid and the warm. Air feeds the fire and distributes the vital essence in the atmosphere. Air people are propagators and explorers but not necessarily executors. They are good at organizing communications, distributing tasks and ensuring everyone understands what needs to be done.
Are you pure Air? Possibly not. It is appropriate to explore the other elements, Fire, Earth and Water, to refine the unique traveller that you are.
