On May 19, 2024, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi lost his life in a helicopter crash. He was accompanied, among others, by his Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

Any serious astrologer will tell you that predicting people's deaths is impossible, especially when an accident claims multiple lives. For example, could a catastrophe be predicted by studying the astrological charts of a hundred passengers before takeoff? Certainly not.

However, it is helpful to perform this exercise repeatedly. In the case of the Iranian accident, seven people lost their lives. I could not trace the other dignitaries' birth dates, let alone the crew members. Therefore, I will stick to the study of the aforementioned individuals.

Despite a similarity in the "astrological patterns" of the two men, it quickly becomes apparent that the planets involved during the accident are not the same, but transiting Mars is very prominent.

Regarding Raisi, an astrologer could have warned him that it would have been wise to avoid travelling with Mars square, his natal Mars, especially in a helicopter dating back to before the Revolution! It should also be noted that Uranus was square his natal Uranus. The slow-moving Pluto was near his natal Venus, and Mercury was square this same Venus.

In Abdollahian's chart, it is noted that Mars was transiting his natal Mars while Saturn was square Venus and conjunct Chiron. Pluto was not to be outdone and squared the Sun/Jupiter conjunction, a conjunction that was replicated in the sky at the time of the accident. Mercury was conjunct with the Sun and also squared Pluto, as can be seen when observing the accident's astrological chart (time unknown):

Incidentally, Neptune (fog) was more or less at the apex of the significant Sun/Jupiter/Venus/Uranus conjunction. The Moon opposed the fateful Mars within the lunar axis.

Revolutionary Iran was born on February 1, 1979. This gives the following chart:

Saturn is currently transiting the lunar axis of modern Iran's birth. During the accident, Mercury was transiting natal Chiron while the Sun/Jupiter/Venus/Uranus stellium was in counter-parallel with the "birth" stellium. These deaths thus occur at a critical, possibly pivotal, moment if we consider what follows in the country's astrological chart.

Indeed, this accident occurred at a time when the Islamic State of 1979 was about to feel, in the coming years (2026-2027), the beginning of a slow and repeated passage of Pluto over the large stellium formed at the time of the revolution by Mercury/Mars/Sun. Is this the first bell toll announcing major transformations for this country? When Pluto transits Mercury in 2027, Uranus will be trine to this same planet...

I am not a specialist in mundane astrology, and my few observations may make many astrologers smile. Still, I believe it will undoubtedly be a region to watch.
